Hold a Wedding Fair at Your Venue

We arrange wedding fairs to take place at your wedding venue, taking the stress of the organisation away from you.

You would give us the use of your venue on a Sunday free of charge and in return we will bring brides-to-be to your venue in the hope of getting bookings for you, plus increase your bar sales during the event!

By working with us, you won't have to pay staff to organise your event and you won't be involved with the suppliers. We have the communication and management experience, industry contacts and successful template.

As we take bookings for the exhibitors directly, and use the income to pay for the advertising and all other costs, the only involvement required from the venue would be to allow a banner to be put up on the entrance and get the room set up the day before the event. There will also probably be phone calls from brides-to-be: even though we advertise our phone number, some people will inevitably decide to call the venue. The exhibitors will also need feeding! We suggest that you have some staff available on the day for your 'stall', as we will be unable to answer detailed questions about your venue. We will pay for sandwiches for which we will provide you with details, however the exhibitors will pay for their own drinks.

We have good links with local wedding suppliers, so getting exhibitors to the event will not be a problem. In terms of advertising, we use the citizen, echo and forester newspapers, local magazines, wedding magazines, the web, posters in supermarkets etc and leaflets through letter boxes. We also have an email database of brides-to-be so send out personal invitations.

The fairs are open to visitors from 10am to 3pm and the venue will need to be open for exhibitor set up at 9am. We generally expect up to 200 visitors to these events. We will arrange the room ready for the fair either the day before or early on the morning of the fair. We will require use of your tables, cloths and chairs, electricity points and ability for exhibitors to purchase drinks throughout the day.

Advertising

The Worcestershire Bride branding enables brides-to-be to recognize a well planned fair where they will receive a free quality pampering pack and plenty of information about wedding services in a decorative gift bag.

The branding and web site address is displayed on the banners outside your venue and all printed advertising material.

The fairs are extremely well advertised using a diverse range of media. Press releases are included wherever possible.

Full page adverts are included in the months before the events in local magazines covering Barnwood, Elmbridge and Longlevens areas in Gloucester. Flyers are also distributed through letterboxes in the Gloucester area.

We send out personal invitations to brides in the area via our extensive email list, display adverts on numerous wedding web sites including google adwords campaigns, and posters are displayed at various locations around the county. There are usually advertisements on Severn Sound and Star radio during the few weeks before the event.

Charity Support

All the Worcestershire Bride Wedding Fairs raise money for the Migraine Action Association (MAA) out of the exhibitors payments. The MAA raises awareness about the disease of migraine and helps sufferers to control the condition. Migraine affects up to 15% of the UK population and around two thirds of sufferers are women. It can be devastating condition that is widely underestimated and is often misconceived as a headache. For more information please visit www.migraine.org.uk.

Friday Night Wedding Pamper Party

We can also arrange a slightly different kind of wedding fair which may be of interest to you- rather than a typical Sunday wedding fair, we would organise something a bit more special for a Friday evening, where brides-to-be visit, have a glass of champagne, watch catwalk shows and maybe have some spa treatments. We would need an area for the suppliers stalls and an area where guests can lounge. The event will be more structured than a typical wedding fair, and would need more time to plan than a standard fair.
